Eugene Winters was born in Vienna and came to the US in 1939. He lived many years in Albany, NY, where he had an active career in display and commercial design and as a fine artist. He was a long-standing member of the Albany Artists Group and was known for his abstract expressionist paintings and glassworks. His works are in the permanent collection of the Corning Glass Museum, Toledo Museum of Art and the Albany Institute of History and Art.
