Born in Cincinnati, Miller (1858-1945) was a self-taught artist who lived in New Mexico and Los Angeles. He painted coastals and landscapes, and made many painting excursions into the mountains and deserts of Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico. His work is part of many collections including that of USC and Santa Fe Railways.
