Resolute Woman by Arthur Royce Bradbury (UK, 1892-1977), graphite on artist paper, signed, circa 1930s, loose - 10 3/4" x 13 1/4" 

 

Bradbury was a painter, etcher and teacher who before taking up painting was a merchant marine cadet. He studied art at St John’s Wood School of Art and Royal West England Academy Schools. Bradbury exhibited at Walker’s Galleries, and his work can be found in the collections of many British institutions, such as the Guernsey Museum & Art Gallery, National Maritime Museum, Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum, and the National Army Museum.
