Auscher was an artist, caricaturist and illustrator. He studied at l'Ecole des Arts Decoratifs in Paris and exhibited at Lew Salon d'Automne and Le Salon des Tuileries.  He is best known for his wild and grotesque depictions of Paris society in the 1920s, a period of time known as the "Annees Folies" (or the "Crazy Years")
