Shopping List by Unknown Artist, oil on canvas, signed "H. Miller," inscribed on back in ink is "Hayes Miller ... Miller Class ... AM," and also inscribed in pencil "Studio 14," circa 1930s-1940s, framed - 23" x 29 1/2"
 
As much as I'd like for this to be by reknown Ashcan School artist and teacher Kenneth Hayes Miller, I don't believe it is. Instead, I belive it's a painting done by a student of his while he taught at Art Students League in New York.
